        Love AGI”
        5 of 5 starsReviewed September 10, 2015NEW
We used AGI for our family vacation transfers from/to the airport and for a private tour during our stay in the Riviera Maya.

We had used AGI for a private tour in 2008 and were quite pleased with the service. As our chosen resort (the Grand Palladium) is quite a ways away from the airport in Cancun, we decided to also avail ourselves of the transfer services provided by AGI. We’re so glad that we did.

Quoted and booked via an email conversation with Javier. Javier was great in helping us determine pricing, payment options and even ideas for stops during our tour. He also ensured that we would be going to a restaurant which would meet our needs for a celiac friendly (gluten free) lunch. In addition, Javier made sure that a kids booster seat was in the van each time, for my 5 year old. The vans were huge, clean and well air conditioned.

Our driver for the transfer (both directions) was Moises. Moises was super nice and helpful and answered a whole bunch of questions for us. He was great about ensuring that we had all the right information we needed to ensure that our return transfer was set and clear for us. We arrived just days after a portion of Hwy 307 (the main road between Cancun and Tulum along the Riviera Maya) collapsed into an underground cenote, basically leaving a massive sink hole in the middle of the highway. Thanks to some quick fixing from the local government and excellent driving by Moises, we arrived at our resort in just over an hour…a trip that in past has taken us almost 2 hours with non private transfer companies.

For our tour our driver was Eduardo and we also hired Daniel as a tour guide for the day. We had specifically asked for Daniel after he accompanied us on our last private tour in 2008. Daniel is a walking encyclopedia of all things Mayan. We learned so much from him just on the ride to Chichen Itza. When our five year old was having a hard time of it at Chichen Itza, he suggested rest locations and stops and adjusted his regular speel and tour to suit. He was also able to contact some local contacts to find the chocolate factory I was looking for in nearby Valladolid.

For each transfer or tour, they were not only on-time but at least 10-15 minutes early!

Overall we couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to go with AGI. They are a fraction more expensive than their competition but having taken other transfer companies in the past, I wouldn’t hesitate to re-book with AGI again and again.
