My Palladium
Well as many of you may know this trip almost didn’t happen. We had to cancel our original booking to stay home with our sick dog. Once we knew he was going to be okay, we decided to book a last minute trip so the time booked off work was not a total wash.
We flew with Air Transat and stayed in a lovely Colonial Mayan Suite. The view from our room was jungle. With that came lots of bird song to enjoy. Since our winters are long and cold time spent on the balcony listening to them was incredibly peaceful and most welcome.
We have been to the resort many times and were given gold bracelets at check in. This is a perk we are so grateful for. Thank you to the Palladium for recognizing their loyal repeat guests.
We were so excited to visit the new TRS Yucatan and see all of the changes. I have to tell you that even though not all projects were 100% complete, we were so impressed. The amount of work that had happened in 4 or 5 months, with an active hurricane season, was amazing.
The new infinity pool is breathtaking and will only get better as the trees and gardens mature. There are 2 bars and the Helios Beach club to provide guests with snacks, drinks, and meals. You would not have to leave if that was your choice. We enjoyed a few mornings lounging on the comfy chairs here during our visit. We found the new umbrellas a bit of a challenge to open the first time, once you figure it out it gets easier.
We are beach loving people so try spend as much time as we can there, we love the Colonial Kantenah beach area. This beach is long and varied with both areas for swiming and snorkeling. There is no beach access for swimming on the TRS Yucatan end of the resort complex .
We enjoyed all of our dining experiences, trying the new TRS offerings was a fun treat. The food and service is top notch. It is great through out the resort complex but the new TRS is a step above. IMO.
Chic Cabaret is an amazing dinner show. We had so much fun this evening. If you have the opportunity to go to this show, while visiting the GPRM or TRS Yucatan, you should. The food could use improvement here but the experience as a whole can’t be beat, as far as resort entertainment goes.

Happy Travels !A side note for those who book private transfers when you have an included one with your vacation package; make sure to let your tour company rep at the airport know. We waited and wasted an hour and a half at the airport while they tried tracking a couple down. There 6 upset people who could have had that much more time at the resort. Shame on those who are so inconsiderate of others.
