We just returned from our trip Saturday. We stayed at FS swim up beach view and it was amazing. We did not have a whole lot of sunshine while we were there but the views from our room and the beach was amazing. The swim out pool was always warm enough to swim in so that was great too.
We had 3 amazing butlers Abraham, Emmanuel and Luis. If you get the pleasure of having them assigned to you they will take care of whatever you need including dinner reservations and anything you need for your room. They are also able to answer any questions you have and give great recommendations. You will want to tip them well in the end. We went with a group of 11 and Abraham was able to get us reservations for dinner all together 3/5 nights we were there. This is better than any other resort we have been to. Most of the time we have to split up. Our rooms were cleaned promptly every day and our turn down service person also left some fun things for our kids to do one night. I would suggest talking to your butler about if you want specific things filled each day for your refrigerator.
The Thai restaurant was our favorite but you might want to make sure you ask for less spice if you don’t like things spicey. Bahia e Brasa was our second restaurant we went to. Food was great and lost of variety of meat is served. Our Brisket did come out undercooked but our waiter immediately brought us a different one and it was good. We had Eldorado our last night and it was so good. Salad bar wasn’t as good as the others and one some of your steaks were undercooked so if you like your steak “medium” I would suggest asking for medium well. Service at all three restaurants was amazing and the waiter at Brasa was a lot of fun. For breakfast we felt White Sands Buffet was the best. We were not impressed with The Nest. For lunch we mostly did buffet or the adults only bar/grill on the FS side. We did notice if you want to request burgers for your group the day before the cook at the adults only bar will make them if you tip him. La Hacienda buffet was overall the better if the buffets for dinner. We rode the golf carts back and forth to the other areas and overall it was timely. Your butler will get a cart faster when you leave your room if you ask. The 80s show at the colonial was good but does last past 10. Because of our dinner reservation time we only made it for the last 10 minutes if the fire show but it was really cool.
We were able to talk one of the guys on the beach selling spa packages into a pretty good deal for all 11 of us. The spa was nice and the people were very friendly. The Hydrotherapy was not as nice as other resorts we have been to but it was ok. Towels were easy to get for the beach and pools. No towel cards necessary which was nice not to have to keep track of. I would suggest saving beach chairs before 830(even though your not suppose to) or so as the FS area has the best beach and it fills up pretty fast. If you like to snorkel swim past the ropes at FS beach a little ways and there is a giant reef with lots of fish and plants to look at. We heard there were turtles but we never saw them. Wear swim shoes and take a floaty if you do this as sometimes the current is rough and you can’t touch. Overall this was an amazing trip and I would recommend this resort.
