I wanted to leave an honest review of our 5 day stay since everyone has been so helpful on here.
We stayed in a beachside swim out in building 40. We were originally booked at White Sands but we upgraded with our travel agent before we arrived and I’m so glad we did!
The resort was absolutely beautiful! It was so huge we didn’t get to see everything in the 4 full days we were there.
Room- we had a junior suite and I was nervous it wouldn’t be enough room for our family of 4 (we have 11 & 16 year old sons) but we lucked out and got a King size bed with the pullout couch for the boys. They slept comfortably in it and had enough room. The room was clean and good size. It was cleaned and turned down daily and our mini fridge was always stocked. I loved the shower and they had nice toiletries. The location of our building was amazing! We had a wonderful breeze the whole time. We spent most of our time on the Kantenah beach in front of our room so it was perfect.
Service- the service was great all around. We had Emmanuel and Luis as our butlers for the week and they were great! They made our dinner reservations for the week, made sure we had a fresh bottle of wine everyday (I requested wine rather than liquor), made sure we had plenty of towels and left a special surprise for my son’s birthday. They also called for carts for us when we needed them. The beach service was really nice too and we had a beach bar so close that we never wanted for a drink. My son got stung by something in the ocean and tried getting the stinger out himself but it started to swell up. The lifeguard and staff on the beach were amazing and got the rest of the stinger out and cleaned up the area. It saved us $170 US to go to the doctor on site. The butlers checked up on him often afterwards. The waitstaff at the Sports Bar, Argentinian and Hibachi were top notch! We watched the USA vs Canada game at the sports bar and it was completely packed! The staff were amazing even though it was so busy.
Food- I didn’t have high expectations for the food and to be honest it wasn’t great. After the 1st few days we figured out where to get the best food and then it wasn’t too bad. We liked Grand Azul best for breakfast. We got pretty good lunch at Es Nui at the FS pool and there was a good selection of snack items at the TRS beach bar that we grabbed and took back to the kids. The sports bar had decent bar food. The Argentinian restaurant was good and the Hibachi was amazing! Everything there was delicious. I’m glad we ended our trip with dinner there.
Entertainment- unfortunately the white party we looked forward to on our last night ended up being indoors due to weather. Not much you can do about that. We did go to a pop art party on the beach that was fun. The boys got to go in the hamster wheel at the FS pool which was cool. I do wish there were more daytime activities for adults and older kids. Like bingo by the pool or corn hole tournaments on the beach.
Overall it was an amazing vacation and I would recommend this resort to family and friends!-
