Having made family January vacations a priority since 1998, we have come to have certain expectations of our trips.
Quality family fun, a great beach, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, good food, and coming from Michigan, WARM WEATHER!!!! All expectations were met & even exceeded on this trip

We have had many wonderful vacations in the Bahamas, Jamaica, and Mexico. We have stayed in RIU & Barcelo hotels as well as others, which were very nice, yet we find ourselves returning again and again to the Palladium complex in the Mayan Riviera.
The number one reason for our numerous stays in the Kantenah & now the White Sands resort is definitely the wonderfully welcoming atmosphere of the entire staff, from reception to service in rooms (room 5936, great job, Obaldo!) at bars, restaurants and guest services, transportation (gracious, Avi) and grounds keeping. Always friendly, helpful, and that lovely “Hola!” just makes us all smile. The grandkids love learning new words and phrases and are so pleased to be taught by the patient, hardworking staff!

The food is plentiful, fresh, and can please even the pickiest of eaters. Really. Drinks are poured with friendly abandon, even the “virgin” drinks for the youngsters. Many thanks for the swim up bar toasts to our little guy on his third birthday!!

We had great sand castle and wave smashing beach time, loads of fun with all the special kid activities at the Colonial pool & the water park, lazy quieter swims at the White Sands pool, fun chasing fish in the salt water pool, boat and train rides, family meals at the wonderful buffets, and a few grownup meals at Portefino, El Dorado, Sumptori & the Brazilian restaurant.

This was everything a family vacation should be.

We should have our entire group of 26 next year, so look for us Palladium! We will return❤
