Comparing PV to Cancun to Palladium RM

Hi Joey, How did PV compare to RM & Cancun?

Joey Wilbourn: No comparison. I did not expect to like PV as much as I did. I think the biggest thing is we did not stay AI. We stayed in old town and ate all of our meals out. It’s a very explorable town compared to Cancun. Never been to PDC so can’t compare that aspect. I still prefer the water on the Caribbean side. PV is not that beautiful blue and surf was dangerously rough. Weather was gorgeous though. First time in Mexico in February. Warm days and cool nights. Where the Yucatan beats on water, PV trumps on land. Beautiful mountains rising in the background.
We did much more exploring and it’s truly a more “Mexican” feel, but our hearts are still in RM. On a side note for gay travelers, Puerto Vallarta, particularly Zona Romantica is extremely gay friendly.
Also a huge expat community.
This was our first time using pesos and loves the bargain of the exchange rate right now.
