Some Cancun Terminal 4 Info

We flew in and out of the new terminal this December. It is big, bright and at first a little different, as any new airport can be.

Here is what we noticed on arrival. You enter and head to immigration much the same as before. Once you pass immigration you will take a left and collect your luggage. You then turn around and go back the way you came and exit at the big doors you passed on the way to the luggage carousels.

When we went, the attendant at the entrance to the exit, said “let me ask you a couple of questions ” we replied and left the airport.

There are signs directing you to your transportation choice. We used the provide transfer this time and went where it said “tours”.

To the right of this person is a huge area where they can xray and or search luggage. We did not have to do either.  I’m not sure if it is not fully operational or only used depending on your answers.. ? No more red light, green light or customs declaration card needed even though it was still passed out on our flight.

Departures was also a little different. When we entered there was a gentleman holding an Air Transat sign and he did the self service kiosk thing for us. we have used these before but whatever. He then sent us on our way to drop off our luggage. The counters are lined up row after row vs along one wall. They are numbered so you know where to go.

Then up the escalator and through security. There is duty free and food services. The restrooms are there but the line ups never end. They need more ! Be prepared to wait.

So far in the departure area there is a Guacamole Grill, a convenience store and a Starbucks Coffee.
Also a Coconuts bar outside of Arrivals.

The free shuttle between terminals serves terminal 4

There are signs to tell you what time the next departure will be at the shuttle stops.

You can get on the ADO bus at terminal 4 located where transfer companies pick up outside of arrivals.
