Saturday in Paradise

I am sitting on my terrace sipping coffee. The birds are very chatty today. This is our last full day of a perfect stay. Perfect weather, perfect location, wonderful staff.

Yesterday spent my day between the pool and the salt water pool. Sometimes there is live music at the pool as is also found in some of the restaurants.

Allison got an 80 minute massage which she enjoyed.(I was able to negotiate.) Afterwards she ordered a sandwich and some empanadas off the pool menu which she said were good.. Today we’ll go to Punta Emilia for lunch for some tacos & fajitas. Will check the path at salt water pool to see if it’s open yet.

Staff here can not do enough.   I mentioned my one food allergy and they are so cautious they almost wouldn’t let me have my shrimp last night (which were delicious). I assured them I can eat shrimp!

We loved el Gaucho. Daniel was our waiter and was excellent. We had the garlic shrimp – to die for, spinach salad, mashed potatoes – yummy, rib eyes with roasted veggies. The are very attentive to cooking your meat to your liking.

Afterwards Allison was tired from her de-stressing massage so went to bed early. I chatted with some of the staff and turned in.

Tonight we will try Helios which has just started opening for dinner some nights. Food there has been good with some bumps in the road. I got the burger with shrimp and avocado yesterday and it also came smothered in cheese. (not on menu) Oh well not to worry.
