Glorious trip to Kantenah GP (non FS)

Just back from a two weeks glorious stay at this resort Kantenah (not FS) .. staying in villa 46 room 4610

Overall rating 4/5 – would we return Yes!

This resort has all sorts from a great gym to a huge amount of sun loungers available if you just want to chill at the beach or pool.

The weather was glorious 13/14 days glorious sunshine! One day mostly rain … but that was our last day …

The buffets were lovely – loads of choice… we worried about this as some said the food was cold – but we didn’t find this.. such fresh salads, sushi, Chinese, English, Mexican … desserts plentiful chocolate fountain and crepes were outer go to! Ltd the ice cream was lovely too!
We went to colonial buffets pool, beach and Hacienda and also white sands buffet .. all great .. busy times you may have to wait so be patient but queues move quickly … so you never wait more than 29 mins in our view ..

A la carte restaurants.. . If there are 2 people easy to book .. although a wait at 8am for the concierge can be 20 mins .. we were a party of 9 adults with 1 child and we did get some reservations together …
We enjoy El Dorado steak house food and the Japanese… the fish restaurant was a lovely setting on the beach … but it was a cold night and started to rain so the food was warm but not piping hot (as they served it to you on the tables at the beach) ..
The Brazilian was our worse … think and hope it was a one off…. But we hardly got any meat at all .. then the server said that’s it now you are on pineapple- to which we said no we have hardly had any meat- but he came back with the pineapple!?! So we all left and went the buffet … that was disappointing … but we met people there who had a great experience so hope this was an isolated incident ….

The hotel is stunning, so clean and designed so beautifully … loads of places to walk or run… the beach is lovely – can be rocky at first in parts but with water shoes it’s totally fine and once in no rocks at all ..

The wild life we loved.. saw so much including the

monkeys! Nothing bothers you / it’s stunning to see including the birds and butterfly’s and flamingos!

Tue staff are wonderful ! Thank you all it was hugs all round when we left…. They work very hard and always with a smile …

If you get chance book LeChic and bravo … we enjoyed both shows and the food was great too! …. We think the staff at the hotel need to promote it more (maybe around the pool) as both venues were only half full when we went … which is a shame as they are such great fun!
We want to Xcscrat – my hubbie and I – we are in our 50s and we loved it! Such a fab day out of resort .., we booked with the trip guy at reception.

Some our party had a massage on the beach (just up from the hotel) 70 dollars each but they said it was amazing!

We booked the turtle snorkel trip with the lovely guy at the pool – this was amazing! We saw so many turtles and stingrays! Our favourite trip of the holiday! Highly recommend…,thanks guys!
We also went to coco bongos and it was such a great laugh ! great show! Loads of fun!

On resort …We went to the silent disco, bingo and saw many good groups …. If there is one thing I think needs to improve its more entertainment later into the evening … for adults … as there was little on after 11pm at nights …. But thank you to all the entertainers as we enjoyed them all …
We are now back in the uk to the freezing weather! Missing Mexico already! Enjoy guys!!
