Day 1 was a long day. 7am flight to Punta Cana was smooth, but minus 1 point for Carol’s lost bag. Hopefully United finds it. Transportation was excellent…no wait at all. Check in was relaxed, warm, and very personalized (dirty monkey and all)…we hugged, we talked, we laughed…it was an amazing time. We received all of our requested dinner reservations and our room was ready early. Carol got her sea view which is always nice. The room is a lovely junior suite on the ground floor in Palace (8106). There are some slight maintenance issues the hotel should address. We met up with Lori Ruzicka Lee and Jim and had a lovely chat. Dinner was delicious at El Dorado.
All in all, the day was a 9/10
