Back in December before we went to Mexico my daughter’s dogc hewed her passport. There was no way the State of New York was going to give her an appointment to get a renewal. They told her she had to fly out of state. Her BF had just had to fly from NY to Texas for a renewal. My daughter went to Mexico with the chewed passport and retuned but then she got a new job and they wanted to send her to London.
Once again NY said she could not get an appointment for a new passport, she would have to fly to Boston or another state. One of our members was given an appointment in Hawaii!!
Long story short my daughter’s prestigious firm intervened and got her an appointment today, the day of her flight. She had to change her flight but she got a new passport! ($225)
Be sure you check your renewal date and get a new passport well ahead of travel.
