Sandals for men

I know this question has been asked numerous times but just wondering about an update.  Our daughter has her man shopping for long pants etc to wear to Chic.  He wants to wear nice sandals, not flip flops.  Have men been allowed in al la cartes & Chic with sandals.  Our daughter is fearful of doing the wrong thing & the rest of us will be allowed in 😱

To be safe I’d bring some closed toe shoes for Chic. They prefer men wear shoes. They were being a little relaxed initially but I recently read someone was turned away in sandals

Seems a bit unfair to men but one has to do what is required.  He just bought a pair of Birkenstocks 😨 Maybe I’ll tell him later, 🤭 I’m sure glad women can wear sandals, I don’t like shoes in the heat let alone socks!

Maybe just a pair of casual dockers which can be wen without socks?
