Deb says: “see you next year” to a lot of our “family” today. thanks for a great 10 days palladium!!! it will be interesting to see what you have in store for us next year. don’t change TOO much, we love you just the way you are!!!”
Zak says:
“You definitely do NOT need to upgrade to get a good room. We stayed in the deluxe suite the last time we were here and it was still very nice!
The food has been great so far at both of the Royal Suites restaurants and with Royal Suite room service. We have gone to the Palace buffet as well, which was good as well. Tonight we will be going to “Bhoghali”, the Indian a la carte,
This is our third visit to the resort, and I do not feel like the food quality has deteriorated at all.
People are playing the towel game, but we have managed to find a great spot at the beach every day so far, so it hasn’t been a problem.”
Today at 9 am
i was just reminded we are eating at El Jardin for the last time ever tonight. 🙁
Zak says,
“Beach today was great! We arrived at about 8am, and while there were some seats reserved, there were still LOTS to choose from. We also noticed there were still plenty of seats around the main pool as well.
The beach is still just as clean and beautiful as it always has been. Very little seaweed compared to our last trip, and the water is actually quite warm. There was a storm blowing in but JUST missed us and blew up the beach toward the Princess… rained for about 10 minutes and then pure sunshine again.
Food is great so far. Chateaubriand last night was excellent. Ordered room service for lunch today as we sat by our swim-up pool. Very good. The quality of their room service has definitely improved since our last stay.”
Thanks for sharing Lyndsay and thanks for all the pictures you posted while there.

Wed.Yesterday (Wed.) in Mexico was pool day. Lots of sun and laughs and meeting new people. Supper at El Jardin was excellent!!
Thurs. in Mexico. Today is massage at the spa day for a little pampering (for Jeanne and me…who knows what the guys will do)and than time at the ocean (Japanese show table for supper). Hoping to hear we became Grands again today too (it’s my Moms Birthday so that would be pretty special) . Life is good!!!
Is Fernanda really thinking this? I want to see her in the new Royal.
She says: “I want to move to another hotel but I love my palladium!!! I do?????”
Brenda Wegart:
We have also seen all of the growth and expansion through the years. I can honestly say we love it more now than our first time. Like a good wine it gets better with age.
Wanda Linderwell: They continue to grow and improve year after year. That’s what good businesses do. So happy to still call it home when we visit. Five more sleeps until the Royal experience again.
Anne Adams They need to do this to compete. No problem
Peter Gittinger I like the fact that Palladium has a dynamic plan for growth and improvement. While I first met and fell in love with Palladium in 2011, all of the changes I have seen have been positive. I have every confidence that this new change will likewise be beneficial for both the company and its loyal friends.
On webcam today. Thanks Boatchick for capturing.

Great book:
The Hummingbird’s Daughter by Luis Alberto Urrea
Takes plan Mexico based on a true story
#1 bestseller
“Miracles & passion abound: The story of a young woman whose gifts as a healer lend her the aura of a saint and who must come to terms with a surprising destiny as all of Mexico erupts in revolution crying out her name.”
2 1/2 days Ugh.
Found some books. I followed one lead and wandered around building 52 to find more books in German.
Then I followed another lead and asked for the Manager of Guest Services in the Palace.Manager wasn’t in but her assistant took me to a back office where there were many books; mostly in German but four a couple in English!
I mentioned that in Hemingways in RM they have many books on shelves for people to borrow. She thought that was a good idea!
Thanks Carver. We tried Areciffe on Bavaro beach. 15 minute walk down the beach. It’s larger and more modern. We enjoyed it. Abby is off with her friends
I know which one you mean Carver. It’s on Bavaro, quite a hike but maybe we’ll try it. Gracias.
After dinner we walked to the lobby of the Palace where they often have live music. They had a band there where we waited for Abby’s friends. Then the young people went off to the sports bar and I walked to the Royal pool bar. Passing through the Royal lobby there was live music. I asked someone there if they recycle books like they do at Hemingways in Mexico. He told me I would have to ask my butler about books. I did find a big pile of books yesterday but they were all in German.
I then went to the pool bar (I now carry a flashlight as it’s dark!) where Sandy & Luis were interested in looking at this page. I told them I’d be happy to add them so here they are. While I was there talking to them an English gentleman came up to me in his bathrobe. He mentioned that he had often seen me with my computer. I said, “I’m not sure I should be talking to a stranger in a bathrobe”. He laughed and said, “my wife is the lady over there in a bathrobe”. Very funny.
All in all another enjoyable evening with good food, music and warm people.
My daunter met up with her friendss They had a reservation at Sumptuori which was delayed. Finally they arrived and said it was an excellent meal.
I am at pool bar with Sandy & Louis. They are so excited they will be on here tomorrow.
Really nice dinner tonight in Chanterelle which is one of the Royal restaurants. Service was disappointing but food was very good (onion soup, rack of lamb, scallops). Excellent live background music. Over at P Palace listening to live music and waiting for Abby’s friends who were delayed at dinner.
Thanks you. I am sure Santa went to your house!!
Turned into a hot & sunny day with a nice breeze on the beach. We had lunch at the beachside buffet Bohio on the Punta Cana beach. Easy walk from RST and they have the grilled fish & chicke that we enjoy
Here is the view from our room looking left to the sea.
We had a very nice dinner at La Adelita. I had shrimp (way too many to finish) Abby had flank steak which was excellent. We both had tortilla soup, also very good.
We walked around the shops ad then caught a cart to the Palace for live music. I am now listening to live music at the Royal and Abby went to watch TV. Overall a very laid back, restful Christmas.
Oh forgot to mention thatAbby did an electronic survey after our meal and it mentioned us”Unofficial Palladium”. That was kind of cool.
Beautiful day. Getting ready for dinner at La Adeita.

Nice dinner tonight in Royal Gourmet. Lobster and excellent filet mignon. Sitting inPalace listening to music.
We had a lovely breakfast at Royal Gourmet then plopped ourselves on the beach. Or room is one of the closest to the Royal beach. (Gracias). We had a mixture of sun, clouds, wi, drizzle an more sun. It’s a bit cool now so bring an evening shawl or sweater.

I read today that the PC airport officials are shaking some people down for an exit fee of $20. They usually try this with UK travelers. Your exit fee is included in your ticket. Look at your ticket under taxes for AA $20
