One other thing we noticed, they have improved the english TV channel options. There seemed to be more movie channels. Brenda Wegert can probably confirm if she noticed the same thing.
Dinner at Eldorado. Fillet mignon and the cowboy steak followed by cheesecake for desert. ( fyi no calories , lol) Then Baileys and cappuccino to finish a wonderful dinner with our waiter Bernardo who could barely stand still thus the blurt pic. The feature drink was the Groupo Palladium. Many may like this but is was too sweet for you taste.

Palladium Hotel Group is pleased to announce upcoming renovations and improvements to its Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. After an overwhelmingly positive response to the Resort renovations completed in 2014 at Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & Spa. Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino in 2015 and 2016, will continue to upgrade its facilities in Punta Cana to provide a more luxurious vacation experience to our guests coming to the Caribbean.
Our commitment to providing exceptional service and accommodations for our guests has led to continued upgrades of our Punta Cana property. The renovation timeline, which is expected to run from May 2nd to November 2nd 2017, villas 60-61-62-63-64-71-72-73-74-75.
Please see below for the detailed list of upgrades coming to the Palladium Hotels & Resorts in Punta Cana. Every effort will be made to assure that the renovations program provides minimal inconvenience to guests.
Accommodations
Rooms at Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa:
Renovations of the following accommodations will take place from May 2nd to November 2nd, 2017.
The total room renovations are 280 rooms will be updated with new furniture and décor as well as renovation of bathrooms and terraces.
Lobby Punta Cana.
From 01/06 to 15/10 will be updated with new furniture and décor.
Rooms at Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & Spa:
From 15/05 to 15/07, renovations on the upper terraces, to the total amount of 69 rooms on the third level of the two buildings 19.
From 15/07 to 15/09, renovations on the upper terraces, to the total amount of 69 rooms on the third level of the two buildings 17 & 18.
Pools
Behique & Children swimming pool (The Pirate Ship). These pools will be closed from May 2 to November 2, 2017
Guests can use the following swimming pools:
Gran Palladium Punta Cana: The Uva swimming pool
Grand Palladium Bavaro: Bavaro swimming pool
Grand Palladium Palace: Palace swimming pool + adult swimming pool

Buffet Behique Restaurant (Grand Palladium Punta Cana):
From 01/06 to 1/10, will be updated with new furniture and décor.
Sumptuori Restaurant (Grand Palladium Palace):
From 01/08 to 1/12, will be updated with new furniture and décor.
Hemingway Cocktail Bar (Grand Palladium Bávaro):
From 01/08 to 1/12, will be updated. This place will be the New Brazilian Restaurant.
Beach Club (The Royal Suites Turquesa).
From 01/07 to 01/12 will be in construction a new place at the Royal Suites Section. This place will be a Beach Club.

Alright everyone. I did receive an email back, and rather quickly. They now have special items on each restaurant (a la carte) for people who have allergies to certain food. They also said, just ask the Chef or the man in the “red shirt”and they would help. And, once again, thank you everyone for your help. TWO MORE DAYS!!!
Wonderful report. Glad you had a nice trip. I agree, it’s so hard trying a new location. We went to P Punta Cana over Christmas and while we enjoyed it we kept competing it to Riviera Maya. Will hopefully be back at RM over Christmas.

We have a similar memory of being “Lost in Paradise”. We arrived after dark on our first trip and couldn’t find anything open for dinner so we decided to try and find the beach bar. At the time there were only 2 resorts. We wandered through the jungle towards the sound of the ocean. We finally found the Colonial beach bar and were told that they only served beer overnight. So….I asked my DH to go out into the jungle and find us some wine. Sometime later I was wondering if I’d have to organize a search party to find him but he finally returned with some wine and we had a good laugh.

Turtle nesting season is soon upon us… Have they done any upgrades to the enclosure for the nests that will be transferred for their safety? Also,March thru Oct… No white lights on the Beach at night … Red, turtle safe lights only… Turtle Safe lights
Further clarification: Royal guests and TC guests may book directly through the App. All other guests may use the App “chat” feature to book.
I understand how everyone is feeling that maybe the magic of the Palladium is being diminished. I’ve been thinking of this all day. No one likes change but change is inevitable to remain competitive. My daughter and I went to Palladium Punta Cana over Christmas and stayed at the Royal section. It was about the same size as the Royal section will be when the Riviera is added at the Palladium. I myself stayed mostly at the Royal as many people will be apt to do when the Royal amenities are expanded in RM. If the Royal guests have 4 restaurants instead of one they may not use the a la cartes as much and the GP is now promoting the App for all guests to reserve. Plus if the current policies remain in place non-Royal repeat guests of 8 visits or more may use Royal areas. I realize it is sad for many to lose the use of the salt water pool but let’s give the GP a chance and see what they come up with for non-Royal guests.
Felipe confirmed that they do have a % of tables set aside for Royal and Travel Club guests. All guests may use the App to book a la cartes based on availability or walk in to check availability.
I was just looking at the App and it can be used to book restaurants (except Punta Emilia & Sumptuori show table), book spa services, book activities such as tennis, Padel. You can download it and see activities on the App before you arrive but cannot book anything until you have a room number.https://unofficialpalladium.com/palladium-app/
Lori says: “I used the app in Riviera Maya…had to book 48 hours in advance. Could not book the day before or same day. They would leave a confirmation slip in an envelope at our room. On one occasion the slip did not have the correct reservation time. I booked for 6pm and it said 8:30pm, I showed the lobby staff the 6pm confirmation via the app on my phone and we ate at 6pm. I found the app to be convenient and easy to use.”
