Cancun & Puerto Vallarta:                                                                                                                          Per a recent inquiry there is NO requirement for a Covid test or Vax to enter Mexico.  No quarrantine. The airlines used to require a health form but this is no longer required. Here is further info:

For travel to Mexico… All visitors (including children)  must have a valid passport.

Effective August 19 2022  the FMM tourist/immigration card is no longer needed for Americans & Canadians.

Cancun: In Terminals 3 & 4  a Customs form will not be needed. It may be needed at Terminal 2 and in that case will be handed out on the plane. (Bring a pen)

Upon arrival in Mexico, when you go through Immigration, the Immigration officer will now stamp your passport. You will be allowed to stay up to 180 days. You must show this stamp when leaving.

If you need it, here’s the link to the Customs website where you can complete the Customs form online….

        Customs form

        https://siat.sat.gob.mx/PTSC/DPE/

One form per family travelling together. It can be completed online within THREE (3) days of your arrival date in Mexico. After completing it, print it and bring it with you. There is no fee to get or complete the form online. If the form doesn’t open in your browser, clear your cookies or try another browser. Some visitors have been asked by Customs officers to sign the form and write their passport number and flight number on the form — do that in the blank space at the bottom of the form.

You should also be aware of the duty-free limits if you bring cigarettes or alcohol to Mexico. Here’s what the Customs form states:

What you may introduce to Mexico without declaring…

“Passengers +18 years old, a maximum of 10 packs of cigarettes, 25 cigars or 200 grams of tobacco; Up to three liters of alcoholic beverages and six liters of wine.”

Cancun/ Puerto Vallarta: Update: FMM form no longer needed.

          TAXES:

Quintana Roo/Cancun/Riviera Maya: Your hotel will charge you $20 pesos per room per night upon arrival. (Approx $1 US).

Your departure tax is included in your airfare. (This includes UK now)

Effective 1 January 2022, the VISITAX amount is 241 pesos per foreign visitor over the age of 4 years, BUT you don’t need to pay it unless you choose to. Check-in agents are not asking for proof of payment.

Here is the site which can be glitchy.  VISITAX
