Restaurants WITHOUT Christmas menu
The following restaurants will be operating with their regular menu only:
Adelita
Bahía & Brasa
Bamboo
Sumptuori will be closed on this date.
At the restaurants offering a Christmas menu, there will be two dining options:
The special Christmas menu (which I can gladly share with you if you have not seen it yet).
Ordering from the restaurant’s regular menu.
For planning purposes, it is very important for us to know how many guests will choose the Christmas menu, so I can include this information as notes in your reservations.
Additionally, The Nest buffet, exclusive to Family Selection, will also offer the Christmas menu that evening.
No reservation is required, however, we kindly ask you to let us know the approximate time you plan to attend dinner, as this is the most important detail I would like to start coordinating with you.Wednesday bartending lessons most locations. 4pm

The gelataria is temporarily closed due to machine maintenance. The gelataria, coffee shop & pizzeria should all be opened by January.
Based on their site GP Jamaica & Lady Hamilyo re-openedon Nov. 3. However, be aware the infrastructure in Jamaica is fragile with massive damage, little internet and in many cases no electricity.
If you would like to donate to recovery efforts I can recommend this charity.
Jamaica has been devastated. Airport, hospitals, homes destroyed. Communication is limited at this time.
Previously, our resort complex had three brands: Grand Palladium (Kantenah, Colonial, and White Sand Hotels), TRS (adults-only, TRS lobby), and Family Selection (Kantenah Hotel).
Now, the Grand Palladium White Sand Hotel is evolving into a new stage called White Sand Select, designed to offer a more differentiated and personalized experience. This includes new services and exclusive benefits for guests booking at this hotel.
In this context:
Grand Palladium guests (now only Kantenah and Colonial) will have access only to their brand’s facilities and benefits, with no access to White Sand Select, Family Selection Kantenah, or TRS.
White Sand Select guests will have exclusive access to their hotel while also enjoying the areas and benefits of Grand Palladium Kantenah and Colonial, with access restricted only to Family Selection Kantenah and TRS.Family Selection guests will have access to the entire resort complex (Grand Palladium, White Sand Select, and TRS), with TRS limited to adults only.
Finally, TRS guests will enjoy unlimited access to the entire resort, including all three brands mentioned above.You can check the App for additional entertainment/locations PHG App

Important update about your upcoming holiday
We’re getting in touch to let you know about some changes to the facilities available during your upcoming holiday at Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa.
The resort has undergone some changes, and this will mean certain facilities will not be available. It’s important we keep you updated on what’s on offer for you during your stay. While you’ll still have full access to the facilities at both the Grand Palladium Colonial and Grand Palladium Kantenah, access to the Grand Palladium White Sands facilities will no longer be available.
What this means for your dining optionsThe following restaurants will not be available during your stay: (Colonial & Kantenah)
• BRAVO Dinner & Dance
• Portofino
• Bahia E Brasa
• Poseidon
• La Paisana
• La Dalia
However, you can still look forward to these excellent dining options:
• La Hacienda (Show-cooking restaurant)
• El Gran Azul (Show-cooking restaurant)
• El Dorado (Grill/steakhouse à la carte restaurant)
• La Adelita (Mexican à la carte restaurant)
• Chang Thai (Thai à la carte restaurant)
• Sumptuori (Japanese à la carte restaurant)
Other facilities still available to you
You’ll continue to enjoy access to the beach bar, pool bars, swim-up bars, and specialty bars including Colonial, La Plaza and the 24-hour Xtra Time Sport Bar. For swimming, you can use the main pool at both the Kantenah and the Colonial’s aquatic park, main pool and relax pool.The sports bar is temporarily closed. I am an avid reader and once I find an author I like I read all of Her (mostly women) books. I have recently discovered Abby Jimenez. She writes about difficult subjects with humor and usually some romance thrown in. Written from the heart and very clever. I always learn something from her books. Note: I find her first chapter or two a little less interesting so keep plugging til she gets you hooked.

Free shuttles:
The Palladium Mexico offers free shared shuttles to Palladium Rewards members who book through PHG, the Call Center, reception. Travel Club members also get free shared transfer. Check the bottom of your confirmation for a link to book transfers.
Evangeline the splash park is geared towards little kids (maybe 8 and under). It is included in the AI. There is an inflatable in the White Sand pool for older kids. There is a charge of $15/hour or $25 per day.
It is with great sadness that I inform you of Dan Palka’s passing. Dan was the owner of VIP Riviera Maya, VIP Punta Cana & Vip Jamaica. He passed away after traveling in Africa & contracting Malaria. He will be sorely missed. His current bookings will be honored. We don’t know about future bookings.

Beginning February 1 2025 a PTC Experience will be offered for a minimum of 3 days. TRS & Family Select guests will be charged $130 per room per day. GP guests will be charged $100 per room per day and will not have access to TRS & FS. Benefits may vary by location.
This is just a daily upgrade for non-TC guests if they choose to upgrade. There is a 3 day minimum. $130 for TRS & FS guests per room per day; $100 per room per day for GP.
I more or less agree with you. I stay at TRS and have ample access to restaurants and other parts of the resort without this. I only drink wine so the top shelf liquor doesn’t matter to me.
Great report! Thanks for sharing. The very first time I went over 20 years ago there were only 2 hotels and we got terribly lost! Signage is just as confusing now as it was then! Tip: Carry the map or download the App for a map.

I have confirmed that the Riviera Maya baby club is no longer supervised by staff. It is available for parents to enjoy with their little ones.
I have confirmed that the Baby Club in Costa Mujeres will continue to accept children from ages 1 -3 between the hours of 9 – 1 & 2 – 5 without parental supervision. The staff do not change diapers. Parents will be contacted for any child who cries for 5 minutes or more.
