Coming soon!!
Finished off my “me time” with a very peaceful and sunny last day. I am going to do this again next year. You don’t realize how much you need a little down time until you give yourself a taste of it. Thank you Alexa Backmann, Talia Sylvester and Bill Backmann for holding down the fort and taking care each other and my fur babies so momma could get some me time. Love you guys! See you tomorrow

Wow. Very contemporary. Not really my style but I know that’s popular now. (I’m kind of old-fashioned)
You are 100% right on that!
Thanks for sharing. It’s these things that keep us coming back!
Feeling much better, strength almost back. Arrived in Vienna this am. Sun is finally shining. We have been to Vienna a couple of times & seen all the sights so we walked to the Prater which is a huge amusement park & of no interest to us except there is a big Ferris wheel built in 1897, damaged in WWll & then restored. We have always wanted to see it & ride on it. Then found the nicest cleanest restaurant we have ever seen. Did not expect to find such a place at the Prater. It cost about $12 cdn just to sit down but so worth it. Delicious food sat on patio with Mozart & Strauss music playing. Keith was in heaven. Having a martini on ship, so good to enjoy life again. Tonight we have tickets to an opera , Strauss & Mozart. Today is Shauna’s bday & 3 years since mom passed. Will send pics. The Wiener schnitzel is big enough for 3 so we left a lot of food. Big dish of dumplings with parsley &butter Yummy.

Have a great time. Thanks for sharing.
Great family pic
We have had a wonderful day. Segways this morning, Brazilian for dinner (highly recommend) and drinks in the lobby! All 6 of us are exhausted, but we are giving it our best shot!
This little chapel is in the Riviera Maya hotel resort, just behind the main Colonial theatre / sports bar. Every couple of days/nights we would come here after enjoying the evening’s entertainment & drinks to sit quietly and lament on our day, and more generally to consider all the things in our lives that we feel so lucky to have. Whatever anyone does or doesn’t believe in, whether they want to talk to some kind of god or to mother nature or just to their inner selves, everyone I know has many things to be thankful for, and it’s humbling to occasionally sit quietly and do just that.

The Hotel Management wishes to greet you and extend your most sincere thanks for following the instructions and warning information of hurricane MARÍA. In situations like the one experienced in the early hours of yesterday, the most important thing for us is the safety and well-being of our guests.
Since the phenomenon has left our territory, the hotel team is working to be able to return to normal as soon as possible. We apologize for inconveniences that may arise yet. Please note that a large part of our staff is being reinstated to their jobs in service centers.
We hope you continue to enjoy your stay with us and in case you need any information please go to our Public Relations or Stewardship desks.
Thanks for your understanding.Monday RM, Jamaica

“Good morning…power off and computer battery low, it was a good blow last night and i imagine there is a tree or two down. Some damages to poorer structures…..I will see later when i go for a drive, Personally, I suffered no damages that i can see now that it is light again. Very little rain,,,,wind now out of the south and dying fast….still a breeze though.
All is good for me,,,we will see about others later today.
Cheers

Sadly Maria devastated Puerto Rico and is now on her way to PC. Fortunately she has been downgraded to a Cat 2 and is moving north of DR but will still have an impact. Everyone at the Palladium is hunkering down and must remain in their rooms.Staff have been delivering food.
Will let you guys know as soon as I book something.
Loke I heard they are moving some of the best known staff to the Royal so with your gold bracelet you should be able to visit.
Dear friends,
Wishing everyone at the GP PC safety and thanking management for keeping us informed. I must say that there are SO MANY on the internet urgently seeking info from their resorts and being kept in the dark.
Kudos to Palladium management.

“Last night after a bit of planning …. the Resort treated our 60th anniversary couple to a beautiful 5 course dinner on a deck overlooking the ocean. Before desert the rest of us snuck up the beach and were given roses to present them ! A toast some meaningful words from family and a delicious cake for all. They video taped the whole thing for them as well. Overwhelmed with the lengths they went to to ensure they had a very special evening…. but then you all know how the P is. I believe we have added more Palladium lovers to the family this week. An evening that will always be treasured and remembered by all of us. Thank you is just not enough but thank you”
