We stayed on resort all day today. Had a storm mid-morning; we sheltered in Las Olas for a bit. We swam and lounged, then B wanted to nap in the room so we did (well I sat out on the balcony with a book). Tonight was a repeat of the show table at B’s request, then the pirate shows at the theater. We fit in one more evening boat ride too!
Not a lot of pictures today; we went to Xenses and they took the pictures for us. It was a great time. I got a little injured (stubbed my toe on a rock and cut it) and they attended to it very nicely. Afterward we took a colectivo to Playa and did our tequila/hot sauce shopping at Soriana and took a taxi back (400 pesos, there is a taxi stand with prices posted). Weather was great; looked like there was weather to the south but never reached us. When we got back we found a towel bunny! We went to Adelita for dinner and are waiting for the kids show (Grease) now. Two more full days! I envy those who can stay 2 full weeks; I could get used to this 🙂
We went to Rio Secreto today. What an experience – I highly recommend. Brian took a couple of spills but is ok save some scratches. He’s in good spirits tonight. We found a “new” lizard today and spent some time with the flamencos. Dinner tonight was Chang Thai and it was excellent. Brian ordered off the kids menu but I had so many choices! And I discovered my tapioca pudding from Sumptuori came from here; it’s on the menu along with a coconut creme brûlée that was amazing. We were all stuffed. Mark had pad Thai and I had green curry. Afterward we went to the kids show and are at the main show now. We found the artist who does the glass art and ordered a piece of our cat who passed a few years ago (B was really close to him). We pick it up tomorrow.
He can probably wear sneakers.

Food allergy program:
I did take a picture of my dessert tonight. Tapioca pudding made with coconut milk and bananas. I cannot day enough about the kindness and care at the a la cartes. I have wheat, egg and dairy allergies plus some meats. I am pretty much gluten free vegan with occasional seafood. I have had two desserts specially made for me, a panna cotta at Portofino and this pudding at Sumptuori. They have been outstanding. I haven’t had as much success at the buffet yet but I probably don’t ask for help as much as I could. I was asked this morning at Dalia if I wanted assistance but we were in a hurry so I said no thanks. I’ll ask and take them up on it tomorrow. But I can always find rice, beans and vegetables.
No pictures today because we went to Xel Ha. We let them take the pictures for us and we will download later. Brian had his first colectivo rides and thought they were fun! Xel Ha was fantastic. We got rained on for the first couple hours but we rode it out and it was beautiful after that. Brian loved the water zip lines and lighthouse slide and we spent a lot of time there plus the river. We had a reservation for Sumptuori show table at 6. We just made it after getting back. Brian ate with chopsticks for the first time and figured it out pretty quickly! His favorite dinner so far is still the penne with tomato and bacon at Portofino but he really liked eating with chopsticks! We sat with a nice family from Richmond.

Milla Jane bucket list: passed out in Ibiza whilst eating ✔️Maybe just a pair of casual dockers which can be wen without socks?
To be safe I’d bring some closed toe shoes for Chic. They prefer men wear shoes. They were being a little relaxed initially but I recently read someone was turned away in sandals
Thanks to William for this info:
If anyone curious about a TRS Bldg 3…you could be placed here if your reservation involves a Jr Suite(not swim) or a loft.
Where are the TRS Coral Loft Suites located ?
The 98 loft suites are spread throughout our 3 buildings in TRS. The distribution is as follows:
In building 1 we have 30 loft suites
In building 2 we have 60 loft suites
In building 3 we have 08 loft suitesGreat report! This for sharing.
I sometimes had trouble getting smaller bills. I asked a bartender and he changed some for me. Front desk runs out. Once I walked to anther front desk and that worked.
Thanks again.
Hi everyone!!! I will absolutely write a post trip summary, etc. We are huge fans of Ibiza and have been coming to this resort since its pre-Grand Palladium upgrades. There is a lot to love here and I hope I can give it the justice it deserves. ❤️❤️❤️ For those wondering, yes I have been to RM so I will do my best to compare/contrast based on that. But for now, the White Island is calling my name and I must go!
Here is the morning view from our room.Alcohol
Interesting. Thanks for posting.
Happy anniversary!

Welcome Stig,
Everything is included except for things like massages and other spa services. Tip: Don’t pay full price. Negotiate with the reps that walk around the pools.

Kay: The sports bar is the place to be
Found the beer hut this afternoon .. brilliant company and such charm for a little hut 😍
Tonight’s dinner was at the Chang Thai restaurant at Kantenah. The shrimp from the tasting station was good but a little on the spicy side, as was the shrimp in the Pad Thai. My husband enjoys the 🌶, and I just picked around the 🌶. The service was great. The coconut creme brûlée was delicious. After dinner we checked out the chocolate bar at Hemingway’s, but we really were too full to take advantage of the options. We noticed there was even a gluten free cake as well as a lactose free cake.
The Rock show at the theatre was entertaining, but we decided not to stay through the entire performance.
We hope to get up early tomorrow to see the sunrise from our terrace.
Our vacation is winding down and we’re missing our grand babies.El Gaucho
Found this on another forum
“be very careful of greyline tranfers- we purchased round trip vouchers at airport – they lost our reservation – arrived and left without us an hour earlier than pick up time and failed to reimburse as promised for cab we had to take !”
Wednesday
All I can tell you is what I have read elsewhere. Expedia does not have a regular transfer company. They use third party so don’t know who you will get, if it is included (I have read that it is not and it is expensive as Expedia needs to get their %), if it is shared and if so how many people you have to share it with. It’s just not worth all of the unknowns to me. I once took a transfer that was included in a package and we waited at the airport for stragglers, then it took 2 1/2 hours with all the stops. Very annoying.
If anyone has experience with Expedia please post.

June 30, 2018 at 8:22 am in reply to: GP Riviera Maya Live Music Schedule – Conclass at Costa Mujeres & RM #18553Saturday 7 – 10 pm White Sand
10:30 – 1 am Colonial
We are currently in Jamaica and have been for 10 days. As you can see from the pictures there is absolutely no sargassum at any of the beaches… in fact the water is sooooo clear you can stand and see the fish swimming. Each beach at the resort is a bit different. Las Brisas is fine white sand and the shallowest water. Coral beach is the adult beach with the courses sand. It is the smallest but also has bar service. Sunset beach is where all the activities are with golden sand and a medium course feel. We have been at each beach every morning at 8 am, no sargassum only a few leaves from the surrounding trees being picked up by staff. The clarity of the water surpasses both PC and RM considerably. Hope this help for all those who are questioning sargassum situation
