I was a bit apprehensive with all the changes but it’s hard to complain about ultimate pampering! You will have the best of both worlds.
Mayra is now at the new TRS lobby bar. There is also nice seating there on the outdoor terrace where they sometimes have snacks. Be sure and visit the terrace before the Chic show.

Possible scam at Cancun airport: We always advise that you talk to NO ONE in the airport once you have cleared immigration & customs. Transfers wait OUTSIDE the glass doors. This was posted elsewhere today
“As we walked towards the glass doors I paused to read the instructions upon my paperwork and a man in uniform swooped forwards, asked to see my paperwork, then calling me by name asked us to follow him. We assumed he was with the transfer company, his uniform might have had a logo, we honestly didn’t check, first mistake.
He took us to a booth which looked like it was selling trips but he assured us that our transfer was in hand, scrutinising our paperwork again and would wait for us whilst he just explained a few things. At first he gave us what sounded like general info about the area then he started showing us trips we might want to go on. All of this was taking a lot of time and we became increasingly anxious to leave. Eventually we became rather rude and told him that we had to go. Of course our transfer was long gone. The man had nothing whatsoever to do with the transfer company, our bad, we are usually sharper but were obviously tired from the flight. Thankfully a Tui rep took us to someone from our transfer company, and finally, after much checking of paperwork and hanging around, they took us to our hotel.”Louise,I will check with TRS tomorrow for you. It is best to make reservation but not necessary. I will give you a contact at TRS as you’ll be a gold band VIP. We booked with the butlers. Will be in touch.
We saw the show last night and the new acts were great. I think the ladies will especially like them.

Well, you could rent a car, park in the parking lot at the airport and meet her that way.
I have had Agi Tours meet our separate flights and get us together even when my flight or my daughter’s flight was delayed. You could email Javier and ask his advice but you may have to meet him at the airport? His website was hacked and is being re-built but you can email him agitours@agitours.com. He provides a discount for UP members.
I understand your concerns but our girls are very independent and well traveled so I wouldn’t worry too much.

We have been there during high season (Christmas) and it didn’t feel busy. They have a very long beach which wasn’t crowded and the Secret pool was very quiet.
No there isn’t. Also, I suggest you still check bulletin boards, and here as not all things are on the App. As an example, the nightly theme drink nights, Thursday chocolate night, BBQ are doe things that are not on the APP.

When we were there over Christmas there was a barrier between the salt water pool & Poseidon. It looked temporary to me but not sure. It made the walk to the beach bar much farther so we jut jumped on a cart. (we became lazy) They will probably have signage on the path to the salt water pool.
The Helios schedule is not yet “regular” nor it the “offerings; (Sometimes just a la carte sometimes some tasting stations) so I wouldn’t depend on that for a late dinner. Maybe the beach bar? We really enjoyed lunch at the beach bar one day.

Sat. after very good room service took a tour. Salt water pool still under renovation. Infinity pool is stunning. Many comfortable loungers and bali beds.
Also more than enough staff and carts.
New smart bracelet serves as room key.
Went to Tentazione for dinner. Beautiful decor. Bonaventure remembered us. Had lobster stew and A had lamb chops. Excellent food though small porti. I think they are assuming guests will have three courses which we didn’t do. Then they surprised Allie with (another) lovely cake and all the staff sang felix cumpleanos.
Watched Con classe in Colonial after the Mexican show.
This morning cool and sunny. Am probably just going to plop on a bali bed all day.
Tonight is the Gala dinner which I look forward to ever Christmas Eve. They have it at some buffets. Our butler suggested we go here at Capricho for an extra special experience.
Now I’m on the hunt for coffee.
we had hoped to try this when we arrived but we were delayed. It closes at 3:30 (f00d) so will try it tomorrow.
Yes, I will find out more about terminal 4. I think we’re going into different terminals so that should be interesting.
I am not aware of the shuttle tracker App. If you look on the map it has train stops. # 9 The TRS area has its own shuttles which are excellent.
I love the Kantenah Mayan suites but the extra amenities at TRS make it worth the inconvenience of being not as near the beach.

Here are are things to note:
We were told that TRS Yucatan restaurants will require a reservation. We have seen people get in without.
You must pre select your meal when making your reservation, if attending the Chic Cabaret.
The Capricho offers a different themed dinner menu each night.
The dress code remains the same at posted on the PHG website.
Some of the a la cartes are now using an automated order system. The server enters your choice into a device which is sent to the back. Everyone we spoke to says it makes their job easier and they really like it.
The beach club is close to opening, so those coming soon will be able to enjoy it.
The TRS Yucatan is amazing and modern. The service everywhere is beyond fantastic. Once it all grows in and come together you won t want to go anywhere else.From Rosa:

French restaurant “La Bohème”
Argentinian restaurant “El Gaucho”
And we trust that we will be opening, at the end of this week, our Italian restaurant “Tentazione”.

The new Italian should open on Thursday. New brown towels for go and cream coral for TRS. They are working on the Royal Mayan suites. They will be beautiful, we peeked.. The new Helios beach club should be close to opening on the coming weekend.
