“I was at the grand Palladium last week for 2 wks .it was the best holiday we have ever had the staff can not do enough for you. We were treated like vips. The place is spotless food out of this world and a wide choice of bars. All the staff were fantastic right from the management down to the gardeners. Would recommend this place to anyone.”

I’ll find out about the gold bracelet. It is 8 visits in RM and 10 visits in PC so not entirely sure. See if I can get the scoop on Dinner but it is likely you’ll need to break into groups of 10 or under to eat together (and avoid a set menu).

I have confirmed with someone just back that thee are stairs to the beach. There are some ramps on the PV side but guests would likely have to use stairs.
Is Punta Cana or Jamaica a possibiity? No stairs at all at those.

I believe the water is not potable so you have to depend on bottled water.
I believe the Jr suites have sleep sofas. Some standard rooms have regular sofas so not good for sleeping.
It has a very good kids club. I believe you must use stairs to the beach. Someone who has been there can confirm.
My daughter enjoyed a day trip to Sayulita which is a fun beachside community. I believe she went there via taxi.
Forgot to mention. There is one a la carte designated as adult only per night so
you might want to check that list which is kept at Guest Services.
Here at the moment have the best holiday ever. The hotel staff and food can not be faulted . We have been totally spoilt. Thank you

Yes. They’ll provide a high chair. I was there once with an adorable 2 year old who loved the sushi! When you make the reservation mention you’ll have 2 little people. (pic by Viv)

Every time I come to RM I am more impressed with the Palladium. They’re always stepping it up. Juice Bar at the Spa at the infinity pool is great! They also now have Captain Morgan’s rum at all bars. My home away from home!
If you’re going to the Palladium between now & November be sure and bring a turtle safe light so you can watch the nesting/hatching at night
They loan snorkel equipment for one hour oer day. If you plan to snorkel a lot or go to Akumal or off resort then it’s best to bring your own equipment.

You can snorkel from the resort beach. Have the bellboys drive you and leave you off at the Kantenah beach. Right in front of the Mayan suites there you can snorkel. There is a reef a little deeper out. You can also walk to the salt water pool (south) and snorkel there. You can take a snorkel trip through the on-site dive shop or take a taxi to Akumal Bay and snorkel there (no tour needed)
You can easily get to Tulum on your own via colectivo (public van) or taxi and hire a guide there. If you want to do Coba, Chichen Itza, Ek Balaam or other ruins you can hire a private guide like Monica
or hire a private company such as Agi Tours to customize something for you.

“The sun is shining and a great day overall.
I just spent the morning driving to all key areas that would effect any tourist…and beyond. Aside from some remaining water on the roads in Cortecito-Las Corales in front of Now Larimar, Sunscape and Little Haiti, all roads are dry and perfect!
There was NO MAJOR FLOOD DAMAGE….inconveniences yesterday?? Yes.
I was on the beach at Macao….aside from some puddles which always seem to be there…all is fine. There are some restaurants that due to poor planning (building IN the mangrove swamp) are flooded…but that is supposed to be water anyways! LOL Bales is fine and open for business this morning.
I drove up to Uvero Alto and again…no issues. A bit of standing water in some fields, but some of what you would see is because of the new road construction blocking the natural drainage.
I went to the beach beside Breathless and indeed there was some beach erosion (ruts). Most was to the area directly in front of the main courtyard and once again, due to poor drainage planning more than anything. The loader was on the beach getting all in order and I imagine by now, he is done and the beach looks like it did last week!
So…for those concerned…not lasting damages. Some residual water hanging in very low lying areas.
To make a point as well. Although yesterday’s rain was VERY INTENSE at times, we have seen more accumulation in a 24 hour period. Becuase we have been so dry, the ground was able to absorb a good amount of the rain yesterday…with the exception of those few late morning-early afternoon hours when the intensity was like a snowstorm.
I know there will be a never ending continuation of questions and concerns, but hey….all is fine. Lets get back to countdowns and Bubba Mugs.

Note the resort is dependent on an outside vendor for its channels. One or more may not be available occasionally. Please be patient!
I am sorry that you’re disappointed. Often times there are blips.I always go with the attitude of not letting the small stuff bother me.
This site is the result of many years of work and contributions by many people. All of the information is accurate. As the resort makes changes often if we are not certain of something we double check with management.
To address some of your issues:
They try to reward repeat guests but there are no guarantees. Any room upgrade for any guest is based on availability.
You should talk to your wedding planner about any perks for the bride & groom.(Congratulations!)
There is shuttle service for Royal guests. If they are not waiting at the lobby door just wait or ask someone to call them for you if you are elsewhere.
If your App is not working go to the front desk and ask them to help you.
Also report the smoke smell to front desk. They may be able to move you.
I hope your experience improves.

“Ok…just drove the loop so have an idea of conditions.
South region…(Cap Cana, Punta Cana, Cabeza del Toro)…rain, but not that heavy and little to no flooding.
Bavaro…(Barcelo to Occidental)…heavier rains and the roads are flooded….moreso due to bad design and they forgot to put dranage in! Slow going for all on the roads in Bavaro.
Friusa and north to Uvero Alto…heavy rains and fields are flooded. The main road is fine all the way. This is the area that has the most standing water.

Hi Dianne,
The kayaks and other water toys such as the paddle boats can be checked out at the Dive Center. You do need to leave your room key and show some ID. I would use a copy of my passport. (Let us know if this works but it doesn’t seem reasonable that they would expect guests to carry passports.)
Regarding flip fops, I saw this question asked on another site. The management answered that sandals are allowed. That said, I believe I saw flip flops worn in PC. Dress code was very relaxed there.
I don’t think they allow adults to stay in the kids club. They will give the parent a beeper so they can easily contact you if there’s a problem.

The last time we went to Playa there was a colectivo waiting outside of the Colonial gate. We sat on it for about 15 mins. waiting for it to fill up. If you’d rather not wait walk to the right where there is a palapa stand where the colectivos stop. They go north on the same side of the highway as the hotel. To go south use the employee tunnel to the right of the Colonial lobby. (Follow employees to find it) You can safely cross the highway using the tunnel and then catch a colectivo on the highway. They do take pesos and US (no coins).
