Happy Wednesday
La Boheme was outstanding
swim out view today
Sad times a few photos from our final morning. Now sitting waiting on transfer to airport. Can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks already!
Amazed when we came back to the room
Great. Thanks for sharing.
Today from Poseidon – Gracias Rebecca
La Boheme tonight for dinner. Nothing on the menu for Andy apart from desserts so I had 2 lots.
Bit of a mixed review for me.
Fondue was okay only had a small amount
Onion soup as everyone says was amazing
Main courses chateaubriand was ok
Stroganoff – main issue this was not stroganoff. It should be creamy and be strips of beef. I was confused when she asked how I wanted it done. Although it was nice it was not what I was looking forward to.
Desserts were good. Andy had sorbets and I had crepe Suzette.
Tomorrow night it’s Eldorado hopefully it’s as good as the reviews.Countdown to the opening
Well starting another perfect day in paradise we are at the midway point of our stay now. So far the weather has been hot and beautiful with just a bit or rain. Cannot complain!
Food has been outstanding at every place we have visited. So far El Gaucho twice, Chang Thai and last night Terazonnie ( spelling sorry) we plan on La Bohemia’s tonight and will try Helios for dinner another night. We have stuck with Helios for breakfast and lunch if we want anything. It is most convenient it you are at the infinity pool which we are enjoying.
There are lots of food options and the staff is extremely careful about allergies, they always ask. Always offered hand sanitizer as well…. cleanliness is outstanding here.
Service is as you would expect ….. first class. You ask, they try to fulfill it and anticipate it.
Today we will visit the spa later and hopefully say hello to the e Butler ….she was most helpful and I just want to thank her in person.
Loving every moment….the staff continues to represent this brand in the most amazing way…they are a special bunch of people. We are missing our dear Antonio Chulim Poot….there is just no one like him!
The resort is presently about 70 % full….this section so we have joined the towel game at the pool. If you have a preference you need to stack your claim early. I don’t like to do this but we generally drop our bag at a spot on route to breakfast..not one of those people who leave towels out and then don’t return for hours.
If you have questions feel free to ask, if I can answer I will.We did El Gaucho twice for a special reason…..the chef offered o make us this amazing cheese soup he does..we had two bowls. What a Sweet thing to do ….it was delicious. We may go again…it is probably our favourite
The biggest decision of the day is where to hang out and which place to go to dinner! Such is life in paradise! Really hot today think we picked a good spot⛱
Day three and starting another beautiful day in paradise! Last night we experienced the chic cabaret and it did not disappoint! We booked this with the e Butler in advance of arrival and I understand it is popular so be sure to book it.
The show is high energy and the performers give 100 percent….they want you to have fun and join in and they make the experience great from start to finish. The food was delicious. I tried the vegetarian option while my hubby stuck with the meat and he enjoyed every plate. Mine was also lovely.
Second breakfast at Helios today and wow friends the food is just perfection. Love everything about how they plate things etc just wonderful!
One very special thing happened last night…. we saw Lucy at the TRS lobby! We plan to go back when she works next to catch up but she is still here for those who thought she was gone. There are lots of new faces for sure and we truly miss Antonio Chulim Poot….I don’t think anyone could take his place!Well after being rained off yesterday the night was amazing. Gorgeous meal at the Thai restaurant followed by chocolate night in Hemingway’s bar. WOW. The pictures don’t do it justice. Anyone on a diet look away now!
Not sure. They probably have something but I wouldn’t bring a costume.

Bahia e Brasa, Riviera Maya –
Dinner at this Brazilian rodizio starts with a Caipirinha then a trip to the salad bar which had standard salad items, cold cuts and cheeses and some hot items such as rice, broccoli in cheese sauce and a fish dish. After your salad the waiters come to the table offering different meats served from a large skewer, which they carve and you catch with a little set of tongs.
Unlike other rodizios I’ve been to there was no menu showing the list of meats that were available, which may be helpful if you want to save yourself for something in particular! There was pork, lamb, chicken legs, two types of sausages, garlic bread, vegetables, turkey wrapped in bacon and three cuts of beef – ribeye, strip loin and brisket. You’ll find the beef is served quite rare, so you might want yours carved from the outside if you want some more well done.
The last item is cinnamon coated pineapple to cleanse your palate before dessert.
On the whole it was good. The garlic bread wasn’t warm enough so the butter hadn’t melted and the lamb was pretty chewy. The chocolate mousse got a thumbs down for its consistency, thick and rubbery, I think the worst dessert item I’ve had here. The strip loin was the best.
Would I go again? Not on the same trip but I would return on the next. The meat was all hot too, something I’ve had a problem with a lot while I’ve been here.

Soooooo..Last night in Europe!!! Great times but good to be going home tomorrow am.
Had a fine day in Zurich and were able to revisit some places we went to at Xmas Markets in 2015. Evening before we had fine Italian fare close to our hotel. Today we spent most of our time in the Bahnhoff Station . It has a huge mall on three levels below ground……nice but oh so expensive.
Also went to the old town for lunch and then back to the hotel.
Capped off the day at the main floor of the bahnhoff where there was a beer garden and the beginning of a Swiss Octoberfest. Had real traditional Wurst , roast potato and BEER. Fun and good but we were in the quiet part away from the “prosit” and the smoke.
We are very impressed with Viking River once again. They treat you GOOD!!!!!! Even at the hotel we were provided with 24 hour pass on the tram system. Very good for 70 year old knees.
We fly out early am direct to Vancouver on Air Canada. Next day home to Isle Lovely.Soooooo..Last night in Europe!!! Great times but good to be going home tomorrow am.

Those of you skipping the La Boheme restaurant should think twice. It was the most flavourful meal we ate all week. We started with Cheese Fondue, next was the French Onion Soup and Chautibriand for main course!! Absolutely delicious and wonderful dinner.
Thanks for sharing.

We stayed on resort all day today. Had a storm mid-morning; we sheltered in Las Olas for a bit. We swam and lounged, then B wanted to nap in the room so we did (well I sat out on the balcony with a book). Tonight was a repeat of the show table at B’s request, then the pirate shows at the theater. We fit in one more evening boat ride too!
Not a lot of pictures today; we went to Xenses and they took the pictures for us. It was a great time. I got a little injured (stubbed my toe on a rock and cut it) and they attended to it very nicely. Afterward we took a colectivo to Playa and did our tequila/hot sauce shopping at Soriana and took a taxi back (400 pesos, there is a taxi stand with prices posted). Weather was great; looked like there was weather to the south but never reached us. When we got back we found a towel bunny! We went to Adelita for dinner and are waiting for the kids show (Grease) now. Two more full days! I envy those who can stay 2 full weeks; I could get used to this 🙂
We went to Rio Secreto today. What an experience – I highly recommend. Brian took a couple of spills but is ok save some scratches. He’s in good spirits tonight. We found a “new” lizard today and spent some time with the flamencos. Dinner tonight was Chang Thai and it was excellent. Brian ordered off the kids menu but I had so many choices! And I discovered my tapioca pudding from Sumptuori came from here; it’s on the menu along with a coconut creme brûlée that was amazing. We were all stuffed. Mark had pad Thai and I had green curry. Afterward we went to the kids show and are at the main show now. We found the artist who does the glass art and ordered a piece of our cat who passed a few years ago (B was really close to him). We pick it up tomorrow.
He can probably wear sneakers.

Food allergy program:
I did take a picture of my dessert tonight. Tapioca pudding made with coconut milk and bananas. I cannot day enough about the kindness and care at the a la cartes. I have wheat, egg and dairy allergies plus some meats. I am pretty much gluten free vegan with occasional seafood. I have had two desserts specially made for me, a panna cotta at Portofino and this pudding at Sumptuori. They have been outstanding. I haven’t had as much success at the buffet yet but I probably don’t ask for help as much as I could. I was asked this morning at Dalia if I wanted assistance but we were in a hurry so I said no thanks. I’ll ask and take them up on it tomorrow. But I can always find rice, beans and vegetables.
No pictures today because we went to Xel Ha. We let them take the pictures for us and we will download later. Brian had his first colectivo rides and thought they were fun! Xel Ha was fantastic. We got rained on for the first couple hours but we rode it out and it was beautiful after that. Brian loved the water zip lines and lighthouse slide and we spent a lot of time there plus the river. We had a reservation for Sumptuori show table at 6. We just made it after getting back. Brian ate with chopsticks for the first time and figured it out pretty quickly! His favorite dinner so far is still the penne with tomato and bacon at Portofino but he really liked eating with chopsticks! We sat with a nice family from Richmond.

Milla Jane bucket list: passed out in Ibiza whilst eating ✔️Maybe just a pair of casual dockers which can be wen without socks?
To be safe I’d bring some closed toe shoes for Chic. They prefer men wear shoes. They were being a little relaxed initially but I recently read someone was turned away in sandals
Thanks to William for this info:
If anyone curious about a TRS Bldg 3…you could be placed here if your reservation involves a Jr Suite(not swim) or a loft.
Where are the TRS Coral Loft Suites located ?
The 98 loft suites are spread throughout our 3 buildings in TRS. The distribution is as follows:
In building 1 we have 30 loft suites
In building 2 we have 60 loft suites
In building 3 we have 08 loft suitesGreat report! This for sharing.
I sometimes had trouble getting smaller bills. I asked a bartender and he changed some for me. Front desk runs out. Once I walked to anther front desk and that worked.
Thanks again.
Hi everyone!!! I will absolutely write a post trip summary, etc. We are huge fans of Ibiza and have been coming to this resort since its pre-Grand Palladium upgrades. There is a lot to love here and I hope I can give it the justice it deserves. ❤️❤️❤️ For those wondering, yes I have been to RM so I will do my best to compare/contrast based on that. But for now, the White Island is calling my name and I must go!
Here is the morning view from our room.Alcohol
Interesting. Thanks for posting.
Happy anniversary!
