Looking forward to this addition, new since we were there last February. May have to go to more than one lobby in an evening.
Great article
Thanks all. I feel the same way, now have to get Dad to agree. I think I will contact Javier directly, as we have used AGI previously.
Always wanted to go for Xmas…one day hopefully.
Glad you got there safe and sound. Enjoy your time with Abby. Look forward to your reports.
Thanks, must have misunderstood some post on FB.
Looking forward to TRS.
Anne, where can I find the train /shuttle tracker app? I have the Palladium app, but cannot find the shuttle.
thanks
As I mentioned on FB, we are thinking g of TRS for the first time this trip. Really want to sample the complete adults only, although will miss staying in Kantenah.
When Cieara and her friend checked in, they asked about allergies. Cieara cannot eat avocado, and her friend just doesn’t like them. The staff, said ‘What?! Your in Mexico everything has avocado!” We laughed at that comment. They gave Cieara a card, and she was amazed at the efforts of the staff to ensure she was avocado free.
Ottawa here. Hope the Riders have a better season. Saw lots of green at the resort last week! You will lover the changes. I am looking forward to trying the other resorts.
Have fun Bill. Look forward to hearing all about it. Dollar looks better!
JoanGood luck! I want to try Punta Cana as well.
I would like to strongly suggest decafinated coffee that is not instant Nescafé. Thanks.
New weights, and lots of them! Thank-you.
Having just looked at my credit card statement, and as a fellow Canadian Bill, I feel your pain. There are few cards that do not have a currency conversion fee. Mine is at 2.5%. There would have no advantage paying in pesos this year, but when the Cdn. dollar was stronger, it was worth it. Hopefully the dollar dive is done!
I really want to try Punta Cana. Looks amazing.
Just an addendum to the trip report. I forgot to mention that we all spent time at the gym or the spa. All love the serenity of the spa pool. Five of six of us had massages, wonderful!
The gym has a ton of new weights, which is great, as I always complained they did not have enough small weights.I will add to the wish list, but I wish the resort wou invest in decaf aged coffee that is not instant Nescafé. I would have loved a coffee post dinner, but alas, I cannot stomach decaf.
I will say that the allowing males to wear shorts looked like a slippery slope some nights, although some of the female apparel left much to be desired. Sure I a youngest female in pyjama bottoms one night at an a-la-carte! It certainly depends on staff if they restrict entrance to a male not complying with the dress code. Saw cargo shorts as well, as someone I thought was in a bathing suit. For the most part though, folks did comply.
I witnessed a man without shirt and shoes arguing with a server at the Gran Azul, out came a supervisor. He was insistent that he would have go all the way back to his room in Kantenah. I met him a few minutes later trudging back to Kantenah. No shoes, no shirt, no service! Liked that they were consistent.
Looking forward to seeing Valentin again in 12 days. Love to live vicariously through trip reports. Thanks.
January 30, 2016 at 7:31 pm in reply to: Palladium Hotel Group Webcome Package Included Transfer #3063The Travel Club uses Hotelbeds for transfers in the MR. We have always been impressed with the service. The drivers have always been waiting for us. Vehicles are comfortable, well kempt. Never any complaints.
Just another comment Ivan, despite contacting that email previously about another question with no response, I posted on this forum do which I always get an answer.
If I can ever get Cliff to change, I would really like to try Punta Cana. I always hear the beach is wonderful.
Great story. We have experienced so many times that the staff go above and beyond. They are “special”.
Thanks Ivan. I did not have this information. Thanks again.
I have asked for this previously, but please, please additional 5 and 10 lb weights in the gym. Last year I had a most nasty confrontation with an individual who had taken the weights and would not share.
Happy planning! Colonial 21 was a perfect spot for us last year with our daughter and her friends. Close for their activities, and not a bad walk for Cliff and I to Kantenah beach and perfect for the Secret pool.
Great to live vicariously through your trip reports. Ann, did you hear any feedback on the new Spanish restaurant?
Can’t wait.
Fabulous. We love Landi! Always so sweet and goes the extra mile. Hopefully we will see her and the growing baby bump in February.
Our first visit to the Palladium was eight years ago. We stayed at the Riviera. We knew very little about the resort. The Riviera was lovely. Great, clean spacious Jr. suites. We are extremely particular about cleanliness and hygiene. Never have had an issue. Staff are so generous and helpful. Housekeeping, grounds crew, eat and hostess staff work hard to make your experience all that you want.
Enjoy, have fun. I don’t think you will be disappointed. We have travelled with a number of friends as newbies, and all would(and have returned!)Joan
How wonderful for you and Abby to have this celebration together. I agree, two bedroom suites would be great for travelling with these young adults.
Glad to hear you had a good meal at La Adelita, it has been such a disappointment to us on our last few visits.
I cannot wait to try the changes at the buffets. I agree the selection is much better than the Gran Azul, despite liking to eat outdoors.Such a lovely idea. Hi Anne; when I registered, somehow I changed my name from jmd to Joan(my actual name). I am back after a long absence. It’s been a busy time. Our daughter Cieara left for university, Cliff and I are missing her terribly.
In February we are on our way back to the GPRM. Cliff and I are heading down for two weeks. Cieara and a friend (who went with her last year) are arriving for a week. As well, the friends parents who joined us last year are coming for a week too! We have some new Palladium lovers. We cannot wait to get back! Looking forward to seeing the renos of the restaurants, and some new furniture in the Colonial courtyard.
We are lucky we have the opportunity to reunite at the GP!
